Dzala is a science driven company that sees its future in developing functional healthcare and wellbeing products for protection and cellular fitness of the human body.

These functional products are based on natural and safe compounds that show a beneficial effect on energetical balance of the cell and in particular, on its major energy producing entity, mitochondria. In parallel, we have developed an antimicrobial product line, where we used an innovative and science proved approach to offer safe and effective protection against wide variety of viruses, bacteria and fungi.

Our Mission

We see Dzala’s future in developing a range of food products which support cellular fitness and wellbeing of the human organism. These functional food products will be based on natural compounds that show a beneficial effect on energetical balance of the cell and in particular, on its major energy producing entity, mitochondria.

We want to approach consumers reaching out for high-quality functional food products that boost health and enhance quality of life. We hope that our products will contribute to ever increasing demand of people to oppose aging and to increase the lifespan.

What we do

l Antimicrobial products

As a prompt response to Covid-19 challenge, we have created a formulation which effectively and quickly protects against viruses. This formulation, named GlyPerA™ comprising hydrogen peroxide and glycine destroys wide spectra of microbes: bacteria, viruses, fungi (SARS-CoV-2 virus causing Covid-19 among them). GlyPerA™ is a safe product and is used as a gargle and mouthwash.

l Cellular fitness products

We work towards our strategic goal of providing high-content functional food products to consumers. One of these products will be enriched in glycolate and D-lactate, compounds that, as we have shown previously, boost the activity and the fitness of mitochondria enormously.

To achieve this objective, we developed methods and processes for enrichment of glycolate in a fruit-based beverage that is produced from a natural source. We have identified a fruit endemic in Georgia as a suitable starting material because it contains particularly high amounts of glycolate.

To fortify the beverage with D-lactate, we developed, GMO-free fermentation process, using mix of yoghurt /matsoni producing bacteria (Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria), that are mostly endemic to Georgia. We are finalizing process optimization and expect to make the product available for customers and partners soon.
